Standard NAESB nomination cycles can be combined with user defined cycles which provides unmatched flexibility to manage linepack and in-network storage. The system also tracks the state of every schedule to make sure only appropriate instruments are used at the right time.
Numeralgo NGS is built to support natural gas Schedulers in whichever way they want to work. The NGS Solver ™ can do this in three different ways. The first, called Assisted Mode, lets Schedulers balance their network manually but still provides suggestions. The second, called Template Mode, lets Schedulers define templates corresponding to various recurring scenarios. These templates can be applied to prefill quantities in a schedule at any time. Finally, in Optimization Mode, the Scheduler provides a unit cost for each potential source of natural gas and sets constraints. An algorithm solves a Minimum Cost Flow Problem (MCFP) to find the schedule that meets the constraint and balances the network at the lowest cost possible.
